The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act was passed on 28 May 2002 and came fully into force on 1 January 2005. This page contains links to the Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland’s publications, including briefings on the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the proposals which preceded it.

The Campaign has produced a guide to using the FOI Act, Environmental Information Regulations and rights to see personal information which covers both Scotland and the rest of the UK. In addition you can visit the Scottish Government’s FOI page or the Scottish Information Commissioner’s site.
