Briefing on the Right to Know Bill
This bill was introduced by Mark Fisher MP and was debated in Parliament on February 19, 1993 - the first full debate on a freedom of information bill since 1981. The bill, drafted by the Campaign, completed its committee stage but was then blocked by the Government at its report stage in July 1993 after a total of 21 hours debate in the Commons and in committee.
