  Press release criticising the Government for delivering a double blow to freedom of information. The Lord Chancellor has announced a 4 year delay in implementing the FOI Act, and the Parliamentary Ombudsman has published a report on ministers' decision to refuse to comply with an open government ruling.   Added 13 November 2001

  The updated correspondence with the Treasury, Department of Trade & Industry and Department of the Environment Transport & the Regions now includes the names and responsibilities of private sector staff working on secondment in the DTI and DETR.   Added 15 August 2001

  Letter expressing concern at an exemption for investigations into deaths contained in the draft Scottish FOI Bill.   Added 26 June 2001

  The Campaign has produced a version of the full text of the UK Freedom of Information Act which can be downloaded in a single Acrobat PDF or Rich Text Format file. The Act is also available on the Stationery Office website, but there it is published in a format which requires readers to view more than 30 separate web pages.   Added 31 May 2001
